The North Bengal Development Minister, Mr Gautam Deb, has said that plenty of opportunities were awaiting investors in North Bengal.
Assuring a conducive business environment in North Bengal, Mr Deb said that the region was going to witness a sea-change in infrastructure.
He was speaking at a summit jointly organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority in Siliguri on Saturday.
Mr Deb pointed out that the Mamata Banerjee-led Government had already taken up many initiatives including expansion of roadways.
While the Government was hopeful to see a boom in tourism sector, it aimed to develop IT & ITes and manufacturing industries in the region, he added.
