The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), in association with the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, will hold a day-long seminar on ‘Solar Energy Applications and Solar Passive Architecture’ here on November 25.
The seminar will ber inaugurated by the Maharashtra Minister for Non-Conventional Energy, Mr Ganesh Naik. The District Gaurdian Minister, Mr Shivajirao Moghe, will be present as the chief guest.
The seminar would discuss issues related to renewable energy, energy conservation, energy efficiency and applications of renewable energy.
The technical session includes overview of renewable energy activities at the national level, MEDA activities at state level, industrial applications of solar energy, solar photovoltaic appliances — cost economics and practicability, solar passive architecture and green buildings.
Energy efficient motors and users’ perspective and experience in solar and other renewable energy technologies and off-grid solar energy applications and policies will also be discussed during the seminar.
A three-day exhibition has also been organised to commemorate the seminar, where various products on solar energy and wind energy will be kept on display, a release from MEDA said today.
