Tripura was announced joint first in e-panchayat system across the country with Maharashtra at the Panchayat Ministers meeting at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, official sources said today.
“Panchayati Raj Ministry acknowledges the efforts of the State Panchayat Raj Department on Tuesday for implementing the rolled out applications of e-panchayat Mission Mode Project in the State to enhance efficiency, accountability and transparency of panchayats,” Tripura Panchayat Minister, Mr Manik Dey quoted the certificate of acknowledgement of the success.
Mr Dey received Rs 50 lakh as award from the hand of Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Tribal Affairs, Mr Kishore Chandra Deo.
