The Tripura Government will set up a general university for which money has already been sanctioned, the Chief Minister, Mr Manik Sarkar, said here on Tuesday.
The 13th Finance Commission has sanctioned Rs 25 crore to set up the university at the premier Maharaja Bir Bikram College, a top level college here, Mr Sarkar said.
Tripura has two universities — a central one and a private technical university.
