The Tripura government has declared a 3 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA) to its 1.12 lakh employees and pensioners with effect from July 1, official sources said on Wednesday. The Finance Minister, Mr Badal Chowdhury, said this decision was taken at the Cabinet meet on Tuesday.
“The employees will now get 3 per cent higher DA from July 1, along with 3 per cent enhancement of annual increment,” Mr Chowdhury said, adding that the salary of anganwadi workers and anganwadi helpers had also been increased.
