Uttarakhand Government will pay electricity bills of all memorials installed in the name of martyrs of the separate statehood movement.
A decision to this effect was taken by the Chief Minister, Mr Vijay Bahuguna, during a meeting with representatives of the Uttarakhand Rajya Aandolan Shaheed Smarak Rishikesh on Monday, official sources said here.
The Chief Minister has directed the officials to pay the pending electricity bills of these memorials from his discretionary fund.
