The mentor committee set up by the West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, to revive the glory of Presidency University, on Thursday submitted its recommendations to the State government. The mentor group headed by Mr Sugata Bose has recommended a special status for the institute.
“We have made the recommendations in the belief that it can truly be an epicentre of excellence,” Mr Bose said after handing over the report to Ms Banerjee here today. Ms Banerjee has asked the Education Ministry to look into the recommendations and ensure the implementation of the same.
