The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, has congratulated the Union Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, on being named as the Presidential candidate by the UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi.
In a statement, Mr Reddy said Mr Pranab Mukherjee is the most suitable choice for the nation’s highest post.
He is the senior most politician, able administrator, man of unparalleled experience of over 50 years in public life and has the distinction of handling all the top portfolios in the Union Cabinet.
In a message to Mr Pranab Mukherjee, the Chief Minister wrote: “My heartiest congratulations on being chosen as the Presidential candidate. I join the Government and people of Andhra Pradesh in congratulating you. Your vast experience both in government and politics make you the best choice for the Rashtrapathi Bhavan.’’
