It is not only top notch bureaucrats who are making presentations to the Cabinet Secretary, even the chiefs of public sector banks are now in a presentation mode before their administrative ministry — Finance Ministry.
The chief executives of the public sector banks are now making a beeline for the Finance Ministry to make presentations on the health of their banks, sources close to the development said.
The issues discussed at their presentations before the new Financial Services Secretary, Gurdial Singh Sandhu, include the asset quality situation, NPA recovery efforts, capital structure, and top 50 non-performing assets.
Already, the chief executives of Canara Bank and United Bank are understood to have made their presentations.
