There is need for a clear strategy for achieve inclusive growth in the 12th five-year plan, according to Prof Sukhadeo Thorat, Chairman, Indian Council of Social Science Research. Delivering a lecture at Icfai Business School here on Friday, Mr Thorat said clarity was needed on the definition and measurement of inclusive growth.
Prof C.H. Hanumanth Rao, Founder-Member of Centre of Economic and Social Studies, said providing infrastructure for the remote places should the focus of policy makers.
Prof J. Mahender Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Icfai Foundation for Higher Education, said higher economic growth rates would not by themselves bring inclusiveness, according to a release.
