The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by the Tata Group Chairman, Mr Ratan Tata.
Claiming that his right to privacy was violated due to the ‘leakage' of his private conversations, Mr Tata had sought the apex court's direction to restrain the news media and online portals from publishing them.
Last December, the court had issued notices to the Centre as well as news magazines Outlook and Open , which had published parts of the transcripts of the taped conversations of corporate lobbyist Ms Niira Radia with many persons, including allegedly Mr Tata.
Mr Tata wanted action to be taken against those who ‘leaked' the tapes.
