Retail inflation for February came in at 8.1 per cent, lower than 8.8 per cent level in previous month.
Both the rural and urban retail inflation for February were lower than the respective January prints, official data released on Wednesday showed.
While rural inflation for February stood at 8.51 per cent (9.35 per cent), urban inflation for the month under review stood at 7.55 per cent (8.09 per cent in January)
The cool down in overall retail inflation in February spells good news ahead of the upcoming RBI policy on April 1.
