SAP India has collaborated with the Spastic Society of Karnataka (SSK) to upgrade skills amongst differently abled children.
SAP will equip the knowledge centre of Human Resource Development and Research Department (HRDT) at SSK, with a range of SAP Software solutions to help them deliver education to teachers and parents to address the needs of these children in the rural and urban areas.
In addition to providing financial assistance to enable SSK operate efficiently, SAP will also assist the organisation to identify and fund entrepreneurial ventures of differently abled people to promote self-employment and sustenance.
SAP’s financial assistance will help pay honorarium to teachers, special educators, therapists and other medical staff. In addition, SAP will provide SSK with latest technical material, assessment tools, build new training manuals to improve their quality of teachertraining.
There are more than a million people with special challenges in Karnataka and most of them are from low socio-economic backgrounds. In order to bridge this gap, SAP will help SSK identify and support talented and deserving individuals to embark on their entrepreneurial ventures.
"With SAP, we hope to leverage technology to realize greater benefits and provide better opportunities for specially-abled children and adults,” said Ms Rukmini Krishnaswamy, Director, Spastic Society of Karnataka. We will also support SSK in improving their overall operational efficiency,” said Mr Peter Gartenberg, Managing Director, SAP India.
SAP will support HRDT to analyze its researched data through cloud based analytics and leverage the intelligence in enhancing its course material for teachers.
