A two-day conference-cum exhibition to discuss and showcase the investment and business potential of the northeastern parts of the country will be held in Mumbai during January 27-28. Organised by NERAMAC (North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Ltd) in association with National Skills Foundation of India (NSFI), the event will focus on agriculture, horticulture, food processing and tourism as also handicrafts and handlooms.
According to NSFI, investment opportunities in the northeastern region will be in focus keeping in mind available natural resources, human resources and markets.
The potential of the region is relatively less known and less exploited. Participants include policymakers, industry representatives, financial institutions, service providers and investment firms. The organisers plan to take the event to other parts of the country including Bangalore and Kolkata.
