Gati Infrastructure Ltd (GIL) has said that the 110-MW Chuzachen Hydro Project in East Sikkim district would be formally inaugurated in September. In a note, it said that the project on the twin rivers — Rangpo and Rongli — had already been commissioned and begun evacuating power through a 24-km transmission line linked to the national grid. The independent power project is on a build, operate, own and transfer mode. Mahendra Agarwal, CEO of Gati Ltd, a listed courier and supply chain solution outfit, is the promoter of GIL.
