SJVN, THDC India renew MoUs withPower Ministry

SJVN Ltd and THDC India Ltd have renewed their annual memorandum of understanding (MoUs) with the Ministry of Power.

A government statement said, “As per the targets set in the MoU, SJVN shall strive to achieve 9200 million units generation during the year. SJVN will have a capital expenditure target of ₹900 crore and a turnover target of ₹2,175 crore.”

Project capacity

Currently, SJVN has four projects with capacity of 1610 MW under construction and another four projects with capacity of 2155 MW under various stages of clearances, soon to enter construction. SJVN aims to have over 5700 MW of generating company in coming years, the statement added.

THDC India’s MoU with the Ministry too defined the performance guarantee parameters for 2018-2019. An energy generation target of 4650 million units has been set for THDCIL in 2018-2019. THDCIL has an installed capacity of 1513 MW.
