A four-day international conference-cum-exhibition to discuss and display the latest from the world of home and personal care industry will be held in Mumbai from December 10-13.
The ‘International Soaps, Detergents and Cosmetics (ISDC) Conference' will bring together experts to focus on four key subjects — sustainability, market dynamics, innovation and industry issues.
The multi-billion-dollar home and personal care products market has been registering double-digit growth in recent years, driven primarily by evolving lifestyles resulting from rising incomes and growing population. The Indian market alone is estimated at $4 billion (Rs 20,000 crore).
Jointly organised by the Indian Home and Personal Care Industry Association and Oil Technologists Association of India, the expo has the strong support of global FMCG majors Hindustan Unilever, Proctor & Gamble, Godrej and ITC, and cosmetics majors L'Oreal India, Cavin Kare, Emami and Beiersdorg . Reliance Industries, BASF Corporation, Dow Chemicals, Huntsman International, Stepan Company, VVF, Galaxy Surfactants and Clarian will present their views.
Over 800 delegates from the US, UK, EU, China, Japan, West Asia , Australia and ASEAN are expected to participate, Dr. B. R. Gaikwad, ISDC 2011 Chairman told Business Line.
