The 15-member strong Professional Action Committee headed by Mr Subramaniam Swamy is preparing to file an FIR against “unknown persons” in the CBI headquarters to bring account holders in foreign banks to book.
“The FIR will be filed not later than November 28,” Mr Swamy said, adding that if the CBI refuses to register the FIR, he will go the Supreme Court for a directive on this.
The move is based on the existing resolution of the United Nations and laws passed in Switzerland with respect to secret holdings in their banks, of “politically exposed persons”.
“We will then go to Switzerland along with lists of MPs and MLAs, who are politically exposed, and whose accounts can be frozen,” he said, speaking on the sidelines of a talk on the 2G scam in Pune.
The first country on his radar is Switzerland after which money stashed in havens like the Cayman Islands, The Isle of Man, Panama and Macau amongst others will be tackled, he said.
