Honeywell Electrical Devices and Systems (ED&S) has called for a worldwide switch to LED lighting. The company has said that organisations across the globe have a responsibility to seriously consider energy-efficient lighting to combat climate change.

“It’s been predicted that LED technology could dominate the lighting market by 2015 — but it needs to be sooner,” said Mr John Storey, Global Business Director of LED Lighting for Honeywell ED&S. “Currently, around two-thirds of lighting is based on older, energy wasting technologies developed before 1970 — this is not sustainable.”
