Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) opened its new product centre here, as part of a plan to strengthen its footprint in India.
The centre displays a range of products from information and communication technology, healthcare, internet of things from Taiwanese companies, a statement said.
“Opening of the new Taiwan product centre is part of the efforts of TAITRA to expand business ties with India. The bilateral trade between the two countries is expanding,” Dave Tsai, director of Taipei World Trade Centre liaison office, said.
The business cooperation between the two nations has also become active in the past two-three years because of the new southbound policy of Taiwan, with focus being on India, he said.
In 2017, India had opened a centre in Taipei to promote awareness on the business ecosystem of India.
