Tecpro Systems Ltd on Friday said it has bagged a $32.7-million order from Korea’s Hyundai Rotem Company. The order received by Tecpro’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Tecpro Systems (Singapore) Pte Ltd, is to supply a coal, limestone and ash handling system for the Mong Doung thermal power plant.
“Tecpro Systems will undertake design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and delivery of a coal, limestone and ash handling system for the 2X500 MW Mong Doung 1 thermal power plant project,” it said in a statement.
The power plant is owned by Electricity Vietnam and Hyundai Engineering and Construction is the EPC contractor for the project.
“This is a big breakthrough for us after demonstrating our expertise in the domestic market. We hope to bag more orders and expand our footprint in the global arena through our international subsidiary going forward,” said Mr Amul Gabrani, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Tecpro Systems.
