The new government in Telangana should immediately take up a branding and marketing campaign to win back the confidence of investors in Hyderabad.

The Research, Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH), floated by the previous Cong(I) Government should also be continued.

These were among several suggestions made by the Hyderabad Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) at its hour-long first meeting with IT Minister, KT Rama Rao, who assumed office on Tuesday.

A delegation of TiE, which called on the minister, who is also the son of Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao, at the Secretariat, discussed several issues.

It also proposed to start significant number of incubation centres in the state, which could play a significant role in not only nurturing the innovation-based startups, but will also help in creating thousands of jobs in the state.

The delegation also proposed that the new government must implement the Singapore Model, which has helped Singapore to emerge as the best investment destination for entrepreneurs. In this context, it wanted the government to intensify the branding exercise.

TiE also wanted continuation of the RICH initiative to boost research and fund innovations which could help the budding entrepreneurs to take the innovation to the next level.

The delegation was led by Murali Bukkapatnam, President – TiE Hyderabad & MD & CEO, Getdomestichelp.com.

In a press release Murali said: " TiE and the State Government can work together to make Hyderabad as the next innovation and preferred investment destination for entrepreneurs. In another two weeks, we will be having second round of discussions to work on a structured programme with the Telangana Government."
