The United Arab Emirates Government will hold a three-day business-to-business interactive meeting-cum-seminar in Mumbai from Tuesday to facilitate small and medium enterprises, particularly from Maharashtra, to set up units in their country.
The event is organised by the Indian Merchants’ Chamber and Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority , Government of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Senior officials from the free trade zone authority will be at the chamber to meet and assist businessmen in setting up operations in the UAE.
With an initial investment of Rs 2.5 lakh, Indian businessmen can set up an office in UAE and enjoy all the tax incentives and repatriate 100 per cent capital and profit. They will also be eligible to apply for one UAE Residence Visa (Family Status) valid for three years and a bank account in UAE plus other advantages.
The three-day interactive meet will be an opportunity for businessmen based in Maharashtra, particularly Mumbai-based entrepreneurs and industrialists, and from the neighbouring business hubs to discuss overseas expansion of their businesses, said Bissoon Surnam, Head, India Liaison Office of the free trade zone authority.
The meet will also elaborate on the facilities, services and different types of licences available at the free trade zone, which is home to over 6,000 companies from 106 countries.
Maryam Al Murshedi, Deputy Director-General of the free trade zone authority said: “We are looking to strengthen our positioning as a business hub geared at helping SMEs connect to emerging market economies, such as the West Asia and the North Africa Region.”
