A US Department of Energy (DOE) funded project involving ANSYS, General Motors, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and ESim, are using technology to optimise electric and hybrid vehicle battery performance.
A release from ANSYS said GM had awarded ANSYS a sub-contract to develop battery software tools that would help accelerate the development of next-generation electric vehicles (EV).
Mr Sandeep Sovani, Manager of Global Automotive Strategy at ANSYS said, “The recent demand from customers to make vehicles more practical coupled with Government regulations are creating unprecedented innovation within the auto industry.”
