Nearing completion: Maroshi Ruparel Water Supply Tunnel Project
MUMBAI: Work in progress on the Maroshi Ruparel Water Supply Tunnel Project — 70 metres underground and 5 km long — which will be completed on February 14 by Hindustan Construction Company (HCC). The project is part of the five underground water pipelines project being developed under the Jawaharial Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission for water supply to Mumbai. It is a Rs 415-crore project involving construction of three-metre finished diameter water supply tunnel 12-km long from Maroshi through Vakola and Mahim to Ruparel Collage in Mumbai.
