The Wholesale Price Index (WPI)-based inflation for December 2015 has come in at (-) 0.73 per cent. This is a contraction for the 14th straight month.
Also, October WPI inflation has now been revised to (-) 3.7 per cent from (-) 3.81 per cent.
For November 2015, WPI-based inflation had come in at (-) 1.99 per cent.
Food inflation remains a point of concern with the overall number coming in at 8.2 per cent for December 2015.
