A question mark hangs over whether Kingfisher pilots operating the ATR aircraft are on strike or not.
While sources claim that the ATR pilots are on strike to protest non-payment of salaries, airline officials claim they have no information of pilots being on strike.
A senior airline officer claimed that in the past few days, the airline was operating Airbus A320 aircraft on ATR routes as there was huge passenger demand.
The larger Airbus aircraft that can seat more than 100 passengers is normally operated for flights between big cities. The smaller ATR aircraft is used to operate flights to secondary cities.
