Contrary to speculations about the upcoming special session of Parliament delving into contentious issues of one-nation-one-election, India and Bharat controversy or the Women’s Reservation Bill, the House agenda issued on Wednesday said it was only a discussion Parliament’s 75 years journey.

The Lok Sabha Bulletin said: “Members are informed that on 18th September, 2023, besides other formal business like laying of papers etc., a Discussion will be held on the subject “Parliamentary Journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha – Achievements, Experiences, Memories and Learnings”.

The Legislative business included the Advocates(Amendment) Bill, the Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill, the Post Office Bill and he Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioners (Appoinment and Conditions of Service and Term of Office) Bill are to be considered during the session.
