The Delhi High Court today reserved its order on the plea of Mr Karim Morani, a Bollywood producer who is in Tihar jail in connection with 2G scam, seeking interim bail for four weeks on health grounds.

“The order is reserved,” Justice Mr Ajit Bharihoke said after hearing brief arguments on behalf of 53-year old Mr Morani and CBI which opposed his bail application.

During the hearing, the court took a serious note of Mr Morani’s plea that his confinement may have adverse impact on his health as the doctors have advised him to “avoid stress”.

Senior advocate Mr Siddharth Luthra, appearing for Mr Morani, said his client has had a history of disease relating to coronary arteries and he be granted interim bail for four weeks to consult his doctors.

“Do you want to say that such persons, who are suffering from such ailments, can have a licence to commit offence and remain out on bail?” Justice Mr Bharihoke said.
