Bharti Airtel has launched a broadband plan that promises an Internet speed that is 20 times faster than the one most of us are using.
Using VSDL (Very-high-speed digital subscriber line) technology, the new service offers speeds of up to 40 mbps.
“We are the first operator to offer this VDSL-based service. VDSL is the newest and most advanced standard of Broadband wireline communications,” Sharlin Thayil, Chief Executive Officer (AP) of Bharti Airtel, said.
“This would allow much faster downloads, online multiplayer gaming and streaming high definition videos. This is much faster than the 16 mbps service we are offering now. Using this, you can download a movie in a few minutes,” he said here.
The plans include Ultrasonic 3999 (200 GB data usage along with 2,000 free voice minutes) and Ultrasonic 3299 that offers 100 GB data usage and 1,000 free voice minutes
