HCL Infosystems Ltd’s Mr Ajai Chowdhry has decided to step down from position of Director of the company.
Mr Chowdhry had earlier stepped down from the position of whole-time Director of the company on March 31, the company informed Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday after its board meeting.
“With reference to the earlier announcement dated April 1, 2012, regarding change in Directorship, HCL Infosystems Ltd has now informed the BSE that Mr Ajai Chowdhry has decided to step down from the position of Director of the company with effect from June 30, 2012,” it said.
A trained engineer, Mr Chowdhry is one of the six founder members of HCL, a garage start-up founded in 1976.
He took over the reins of HCL Infosystems of the group as President and Chief Executive Officer in 1994 and was appointed as Chairman in November 1999.
