Paris-based telecom provider Alcatel-Lucent has appointed BT India’s Arun Seth as Chairman for its India operations.
Mr Seth will, however, continue to be the Non-Executive Chairman of BT India, with whom he has been associated since 1995, a statement issued by Alcatel-Lucent said here today.
“Arun brings us over 30 years of diverse business experience. I look forward for his guidance in helping Alcatel-Lucent be a transformative player in the converging IT and telecom industry in India,” the Alcatel-Lucent President, Asia-Pacific Region, Mr Rajeev Singh-Molares, said in the statement.
Mr Seth will work closely with the Alcatel-Lucent President on strategies for the overall Asia-Pacific region and India.
He would also advise the Alcatel-Lucent India President and Managing Director, Mr Munish Seth, on how to steward the India region for consistent value creation, the release added.
“It is an honour to join Alcatel-Lucent’s India leadership team and have the opportunity to build on and contribute further to its success,” Mr Seth said.
He is also on the Executive Committee of Nasscom and a Member of the Advisory Board at TERI.
