Bharat Sanchar Nigam has given contracts worth Rs 153 crore in February, including one to Ericsson for supply of a part of GSM network equipment. The contract given to Ericsson is worth Rs 66 crore. Shyam Telecom has been given a contract worth Rs 27 crore for supply of radio modems to be used in the 5.8 Ghz band. Bharat Electronics will supply wireless equipment for an Air Force network being rolled out by BSNL for Rs 16.6 crore. Another contract has been given to Teracom for supply of CDMA terminals.
