Bharti Airtel has launched a 22,000-sq ft green data centre in Mumbai. The facility has been designed to achieve 1.7-1.75 power usage effectiveness (PUE), making it one of the most energy efficient facilities in India, the company said in a statement. PUE is a metric used to determine the energy efficiency of a data centre. The data centre has been jointly designed and commissioned with NetMagic Solutions and is carrier neutral. At present, Airtel operates seven data centres in the National Capital Region, Bangalore, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar and Pune.
