Hyderabad-based Bizbook has launched specially designed educational tablets for school-going children.

``Our Edutabs are specially equipped with applications pertaining to the Central Board of Secondary Education curriculum and assessment applications,’’ Nidhi Rao Polasani, Chief Executive Officer, Bizbook, told newspersons here on Friday.

Available in nine and seven-inches, the tablets are priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 4,999 respectively.

Bizbook tied up with Rao’s Group of Educational Institutions to roll out its tablets to about 10,000 students in 15 schools in and around Hyderabad in a phased manner.

According to Prabhakar Rao, Chairman, Rao’s Group said the use of tablets in his schools would commence from June this year.

"The edutabs will reduce school-bag weight for students and also facilitate proper assessment and valuation,’’ he added.
