CADD Centre India has partnered with Rowe of Germany to launch new wide-format printers and scanners that are typically used for design in various sectors, including manufacturing.

The products will include remote diagnostics, auto meter reading, monthly billing and automatic toner indicator sensing for reorder. The two companies will develop products for the Indian design and engineering industry.

Dr Stefan Wekbach, Consul-General, Federal Republic of Germany, facilitated the exchange of the agreement and launched the products at a function. R. Parthasarathy, Chairman and Managing Director, CADD group, said design is the core for the manufacturing sector to create a huge demand for such large-size format printers. Also, India is becoming a hub for many multinational companies to set up their design centres.

CADD is one of the largest suppliers of wide format solutions. It has nearly 420 engineering companies as clients. These customers print about 10,000 metres of designs every hour. This is 150-120 prints every minute, he told newspersons.

The company will invest around Rs 7 crore on marketing of the new range of products, while another Rs 14 crore has been assigned to expand the sales and service network, he said.
