US-based networking giant Cisco has unveiled two all-in-one desktop collaboration devices in a move to de-clutter employee desks.
Speaking at its annual event Cisco Live! 2014, Rowan Trollope, Senior VP/GM, Collaboration Technology group, said these devices were designed to provide the best collaboration experience for every desk in an enterprise.
These new Android-based devices — 24-inches DX 80 and the mini version 14-inch DX 70 — provide HD video, high-end audio and online conferencing facilities. The price of the bigger version is less than $2,000 and the smaller one is less than $1,000.
Asked about the company’s India launch of these devices, Cisco did not disclose it.
The company said that with this all-in-one device, users can do multiple tasks such as voice-only phones, HD video, high-end audio and video-conferencing with integrated business applications and web browsing.
To shore up its on-premise tele-presence solutions, Cisco has also unveiled Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMRs) technology. With this virtual room, users can host meetings online where attendees can join from the device of their choice.
