Tablet computer supplier DataWind has launched three new products — UbiSlate 7Cx, 9Ci and 3G7 -- priced at Rs 3,999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 6,999, respectively, with SIM slots for Internet connectivity. “Despite the recent drop in value of the rupee, we are committed to bringing affordability in computing and Internet access to masses,” Suneet Singh Tuli, President and Chief Executive Officer, DataWind, said. The UbiSlate 3G7 is its first product operating on a 3G network, he said, adding that the 9Ci is also one of the firsts in 9-inch tablet from traditional 7-inch tablets that it makes. The new products will come preloaded with a range of applications such as E-Book app for Class 1 to 12 containing syllabus of National Council of Educational Research and Training in English, Hindi and Urdu medium, English learning tools, Bollywood music and movies, and MapMyIndia’s navigation.
