EdServ plans to open 200 training institutes to offer tuition, coaching, test preparation and career training. The institutes will come up in the next six months across the country.
The company will invest nearly Rs 40 crore in the expansion, said a company press release.
The Chennai-based education services company has launched the instructor-led training centres through a franchisee network to offer academic support and vocational training courses. The courses will comprise coaching for CA, IITJEE, TOEFL and GRE. It will also offer tuition support right from kinder garden to post graduate students for CBSE and State board subjects.
Each student enrolling into the institute will get a Tablet personal computer free with specific pre-loaded course content. The company has tied up with the city-based A-Team EduTech Ltd for the supply of Tablets.
In the first year of its launch, EdServ is targeting revenues of over Rs 20 crore from the new initiative, the release said.
