Edutor launches product for Android-based touch devices

Edutor, a Hyderabad-based learning solutions company has announced the launch of `Augmented Classroom Solution', a first of its kind solution designed for use in Android based touch devices.

About 800 studnets at the high school level in two city-based schools will use the solution this academic year. The company is in advanced stage of talks with several schools and educational institutes to introduce the product.

According to Mr Ram Gollamudi, CEO of Edutor technologies, ACS is an answer to the question asked about how tablet PCs can be made useful in an education ecosystem. "With our solution inside, the tablet PCs will augment the learning experience of the students in an entirely new way", he told newspersons.

The key feature of the ACS is its ability to integrte learning material as per school syllabus inside the touch screen devices. This includes digitized textbooks, multi-media material, interactive concept maps and assessement.
