Flipkart is the favourite online shopping locale for Indians, followed by Myntra, with a larger number of people preferring to shop online.
Flipkart emerged the winner mainly due to its quick delivery service and quality customer support, with about 68.97 per cent of the respondents favouring it, according to poll by the UK-based Logicserve Group.
“The survey basically gives an insight into online behaviour and basically throws light on brand recall,” Logicserve Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer-India Prasad Shejale said.
Myntra, a destination for lifestyle products, was the next in line with a 17.87 per cent of votes, while Jabong is the third most popular online shopping spot with 2.62 per cent votes.
The study – ‘Where do Indians love to shop online?’ – was conducted by Logicserve, which runs Couponraja.com in India. There were 3,010 participants took part in the poll.
Snapdeal, which offers discounts of up to 50-90 per cent on dining, leisure and entertainment across major Indian cities, was favoured by just 1.83 per cent of the respondents, according to the poll.
“Many prefer online stores due to the discounts and the large variety of products. With all of these benefits, the number of customers swarming to the online stores is much likely to shoot up in the future,” Shejale added.
