FranklinCovey, a global training and consulting institute, has tied up with KVM Group (a project advisory and service provider in IT, architecture and trading) to launch FranklinCovey PG Diploma programmes.

According to Lavleen Raheja, Chairman and CEO of FranklinCovey India, the endeavour is to prepare graduates for a world of opportunities by imparting industry-specific knowledge and skills.

And, the diploma programmes will be designed to bridge the employability gap. To start with it will be targeted at industry verticals such as retail, banking, insurance and other financial services.

“This will help the industry as much as it helps the students,” he said.

However, though intended to be rolled out in the next academic year (July 2013), the details of the programmes are still being worked out.

The institution is in talks with various stakeholders to design the right courses to suit various industry verticals, said K.V. Madan, Managing Director of KVM Group.

Once finalised, these programmes will be conducted across leading colleges in the country. The programmes will not just constitute theoretical learning but also provide extensive soft and behavioural skills training, focusing on communication, team work, leadership, effectiveness, business acumen skills and more to empower students to excel in their respective domains, Madan said.
