FreeCharge has launched its online recharge app on the Windows Phone App Store.

With this launch, the startup has got its App on all mobile platforms such as Android, iOS and Windows Phone. Using this app, consumers can top up their pre-paid mobile cards for all operators, pay their mobile phone bills, re-charge their Direct To Home (DTH) television connections and data cards and make other payments using their debit or credit cards and via net banking for all leading banks, the company said in a statement. The app is only 1MB in size, the lightest app in the category, which means lowest data cost & time to download, company officials added.

Joseph Landes, General Manager - Developer Experience, Microsoft India said: "Increasingly consumers are choosing to transact online and as all transactions are 128 bit SSL secured with a trust seal from VeriSign and PCI-DSS, security has been taken care of for widespread adoption."

Alok Goel, CEO of FreeCharge, added that the company is seeing 70 per cent of the transactions coming from mobile phones and that is the reason for launching this App.
