Mr Manu Parpia, Founder and Vice-Chairman of Geometric, has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company,
The board, which met in Mumbai on Monday, has asked Mr Parpia to don the new roles in place of Mr Ravishankar G, who had recently put in his papers.
The engineering solutions and services company has posted a net profit of Rs 17.84 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011, as against Rs 11.83 crore in the same quarter last year, a growth of 50 per cent. It registered a turnover of Rs 170 crore (Rs 127 crore) during the period.
For the financial year 2010-11, the company posted a net profit of Rs 57.52 crore as against Rs 46.66 crore in the same period last year, a growth of 23 per cent. Its turnover was put at Rs 620.61 crore (Rs 511.56 crore) in the year.
The board recommended a dividend of Rs 1.20 a share of Rs 2 each for 2010-11. The AGM would be held on July 25.
