HCL Technologies on Monday released its second corporate sustainability report under the ‘Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) 3.1’ framework indicating the company’s progress and outcomes in the corporate sustainability areas. It has been created as per the A+ application level and externally assured by DNV, a global provider of services for managing risk, helping customers improve their business performance.
The company participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project India and received a rating of 66/100, which is above the industry-average this year. All recently acquired and new campuses outside India are ‘green compliant’ including the Global Development Centres in North America, it said.
“I am confident that going forward we will continue to walk this journey to ensure that sustainability performance remains an intrinsic part of HCL’s corporate and business strategy,” Vineet Nayar, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, HCL Technologies, said.
