Mr Krishna Gopal — who till recently was driving the West Asia, Africa and South Asia business for telecom solutions company Tech Mahindra — is said to have put in his papers.
This is the third high profile exit from the Tech Mahindra-Mahindra Satyam combine in recent times. In the last few months, Mr Rajesh Chandiramani, who headed the India business for Tech Mahindra, and Mr Atul Kanwar, head of global sales at Mahindra Satyam, had resigned.
On being approached Mr Gopal confirmed the development but did not divulge further details. However, several company sources told Business Line that today was Mr Gopal's last day at work. He is all set to join a Mumbai-based, BSE listed company where he will have a wider role, they said.
Mr Gopal's exit is coming at a time when Tech Mahindra is preparing for a potential merger with Mahindra Satyam, a company it had acquired in 2009.
Mr Gopal, who has been with Tech Mahindra for over 12 years, was also responsible for driving the global alliances function at the Mumbai-based company.
Mr Girish Bhat, Director of Business Development will take over Mr Gopal's role in the company, sources said.
