IT major Cognizant has named S. Mackay, Jr., to join its Board of Directors. In a press release, Cognizant said that Leo S. Mackay, Jr. will serve on the company’s audit committee too. Mackay, 51, is currently Vice-President, and an elected corporate officer, of Lockheed Martin Corporation where he oversees the company’s ethics and corporate sustainability programmes.
In a career spanning almost three decades, he has held key roles in the US Government, and General Management (Positions) at Lockheed Martin, ACS State Healthcare, and Bell Helicopter, a Textron Company, the release adds. With his election, Cognizant’s Board now has 10 directors, eight of whom are independent under Nasdaq’s rules.
