Nokia today introduced a new range of map services on a mobile phone. As a part of this initiative, Nokia introduced five new services that are set to compete with Google and Apple in the area of location-related search through phones. Since the last few months these services which were in pilot phase, are now operational in 4,000 cities in India.
These four new services called Nokia Maps, Drive, City Lens, Traffic and Transport. Nokia Maps is available on the Asha series of smartphones and its Lumia range of phones will include all the five features. Further, all phones with Windows Phone 8 will have Nokia Maps embedded in it.
