Progress Software has said Responsive UI (user interface) would change the way enterprises and start-ups provide seamless interface on all channels of communication. It is cheaper too for them to build the app (application) for once and make it compatible with all forms of smart devices such as phones, tablets, phablets, TVs, desktops and laptops.
Ramesh Loganathan, Vice-President and Managing Director, Progress Software India, has said it had become necessary for enterprises to quickly adapt to different communication channels on a variety of platforms as smart digital devices proliferate.
What enterprises currently do is to build a mainstream app (application) and then convert the interface to suit multiple devices and multiple operating systems. Going forward, enterprises can build applications on a single framework, which can work on any device.
Sachin Hegip, Director (Senior Software Engineering) of Progress, said the solution developed by the firm would help enterprises significantly reduce the size of app development teams.
“Responsive UI enables seamless transition, real-time no matter where and how the user access the information. People tend to use the information from different smart gadgets. They want the experience to be seamless,” Ramesh said.
Progress is one of the early developers of a product equipped with Responsive UI. Progress Pacific technology comes with inbuilt Responsive UI.
The US-based listed company has a 300-member strong team in Hyderabad that had played a crucial role in the development of this solution.
