Snapdeal.com has launched ‘Shake Feature’ for its mobile applications.
A company statement said the new feature allows users to get applications by just shaking their smartphones. This feature has been launched across Android, iOS (Apple’s operating system) and Windows’ phones.
“The smartphone has become an extremely important medium to reach out to our customers. The Shake feature is a step to amplify the user experience while shopping on the mobile application. We have already seen a tremendous response on this feature from our existing users,” said Sandeep Komaravelly, Senior Vice President Marketing at Snapdeal.com.
The feature will enable Snapdeal mobile application users to avail offers on more than 5 million products across 500 categories which are listed on the site.
This will not only encourage adoption of applications but also enable users to save more whilst shopping through their smartphones. Mobile based transactions already contribute to about 60 per cent of the sales for the company and this new feature will further drive traffic and mobile based transactions for the company.
